At Loyne School we are involved in a joint project with Morecambe Bay Health Trust, pioneering new techniques to help young children with learning difficulties develop their writing skills. Such has been our success that we were keen to share our findings with other schools and institutions. Lancaster University produced a video to promote the Write Together project. We then contacted Design & Image to help us market the video to a wider audience. We had not worked with them before but were very impressed with the way in which they interpreted our brief. They produced some high quality artwork that we felt was absolutely the right approach for the project.
Design & Image have since worked on a leaflet and other development material as the project continues to attract more professional interest. We look forward to working with them in the future.

NDT Mart is a Lancaster-based company with operating office in Georgia USA. NDT Mart retail in 20 countries worldwide with an annual turnover in excess of $1,200,000. NDT Mart business has built up by giving our customers the products they want at the right price. Our mail-order catalogue is one of our principle selling tools and it needs to reflect our business ethos. As it features over 2,500 products to a multi-lingual clientele it needs to be clearly laid out, well planned and above all user friendly I believe Design & Image played an important role in achieving this.
Design & Image did a small leaflet for an associate training company and we were impressed by the attention to detail and professionalism. They have subsequently won the contract to do our main catalogue for two years now. Although I was pleased with my previous catalogue it took a lot of time to update and the original designers did not allow me as much input as I would have liked. Design & Image took the brave step of restructuring the catalogue right from the start. They revisited the underlying document templates and, using the power of the DTP software effectively, they made the task of updating and editing much simpler within year two. This represented a huge saving on pre-press production costs.
I believe the key to how Design & Image operate is they are willing to work closely alongside the client to make sure that the design and page layout is exactly as the client wants. In addition they listen closely to the client's needs and try to accommodate their exact requirements and combine it with a fresh and appropriate corporate identity.
In the last two years since I have been using Design & Image, NDT Mart sales have risen by 15% and my time/cost to produce the catalogue have reduced substantially.

Design & Image produced a series of 15 leaflets to promote CancerCare's support services and therapy activities. We were delighted with the results. The leaflets have helped us to gain a higher profile both locally and further afield. This means we have improved customer awareness of the superb services that we offer our clients, friends and family and it has helped us to attract funding support. Design & Image worked closely with our in-house team and showed great awareness and sensitivity towards our client group. We were able to deal directly with the designer and got a highly personal service at all times.

I produce a free local community magazine in my area and was putting together my first edition when I asked Design & Image to design some business cards for me. The end result was professional and eye catching with many people commenting on the unique design. Design & Image helped me to transfer this design through to my magazine and as a result I have a publication that is truly original, meaning more people wanting to advertise in the magazine. I plan to use Design & Image again in the near future to create a media pack to mail drop to potential customers.

After deciding that I wanted to set up in business as a wedding planner, I knew that the next step I needed was some unique branding to get my business noticed. I knew that the logo needed to stand out and quite truthfully didnt really have a clue where to start. I knew the colours that I wanted to use but other than that I really was at a loss. Graphic design is something completely alien to me but Design & Image made me feel at ease and I trusted their judgement implicitly.
The designer went off to his drawing board and came up with some fantastic samples for business stationery and after consulting a few friends and colleagues on what they thought looked best I decided on one. Many people have complimented me on the design of the cards and I always pass them Design & Image's details and recommend they use them if they have any design requirements.

I was looking to re-brand an existing business in a way that reflected the change in direction the company was taking. Being my own company I felt I was too close to it be able to be totally objective. Design and Image were able to give me a fresh perspective on the look and feel of my business image. I was very impressed with their ability to take my verbal brief, which was prescriptive and vague in equal measures, and produce a range of logo ideas that were varied and highly creative. Once I had seen some initial concepts I was able to focus on the image that was most relevant to my target market.

We approached Design & Image from a perspective of working together to produce a series of stylised graphics for our recently-launched web-based product.
Design & Image worked very closely with us to make sure they had all of our ideas and thoughts on paper before coming back to us with a design proof. Our target market is a varied one, meaning that we needed to have a very universal feel to the design and we were very pleased with the results as Design & Image managed to interpret our ideas correctly, and provide us with the images we needed.
We will continue to use Design & Image for our future graphic design requirements.
